However, not all pictures are created equal: a good visualization tells a story and helps the viewer to understand the data. A polished visualization can help you In the first half of this workshop, I will discuss common mistakes made in visualization, and how to avoid them. I will introduce guidelines on how to make excellent visualization choices. In the second half of the workshop, I will guide the participants in an interactive session on creating meaningful visualizations with just a few lines of code.
